The Perfect New Landscaping Projects

Now that spring is here and summer is just around the corner, you’ll soon have the weather and free time to have fun making additions to your lawn. Landscaping projects are great if you’re looking to spruce up your yard while working with your own two hands. Whether it's a patio set or a fireplace, by the time you’re done, you’ll have something to be proud of.

These aren’t all solo projects either. Many of them can be a project that the whole family works on that you can find materials for at Pioneer Landscaping Centers. They also aren’t all long-term projects. They can be activities you can do for a weekend or develop over time as a passion project. Here are some that we recommend.

LAY DOWN A NEW PATIO KIT

This is one of the simplest landscaping projects we sell. If you’re looking for a way to spruce up the look of your yard or create some added walking space, this is perfect.

It’s also incredibly malleable to your tastes and how you want it to fit your yard. We sell patio kits in pieces or as a set, allowing you to decide how you want it to be and how long you want it to take.

We have several patio sets you can take a look at that come in multiple colors:

  • Earthstone Circular Patio Kits - This set comes in Prairie Gold, Rustic Brown, Stained Buff, and Gunsmoke Gray. The pieces come in several shapes and sizes:

BUILD AN OUTDOOR FIREPLACE

Summer days are hot, but nights can be pretty chilly. Imagine having a place for all of the family to come together and connect, eat smores, and tell ghost stories. It’s the kind of cheesy family time that movies are always talking about. The movies tend to forget about the fun of making one.

Pioneer has several brands to choose from, with multiple designs to fit your backyard. Also, depending on how much time you and your family want to spend making one, you can pick one of our simpler fireplaces to make it an afternoon project or one you commit to over a weekend or two.

The choice is yours. We offer several different fireplaces:

  • Colonial Fireplace - This is one of our larger fireplaces that can be built into a small wall and has a firewood holder.
  • Compact Fire Ring - This smaller fireplace doubles as a grill that family and friends can all sit around.
  • Contemporary Fireplace - This is a medium size fireplace that’s compact and can be built into a small wall.

MAKE AN OUTDOOR GRILL

What defines a summer better than a grill? This is the summer activity that never goes out of style. Our outdoor grills are perfect for a cookout, a pool party, or just for one of those nights when you want to grill something. With our Grand Island Bar / Grill, you have a place for everything you need for the family to hang outside, with minimal trips to the kitchen.

This is a project that’ll take a bit more time than others, but in return, you’ll get something you’ll use and enjoy for years to come.

And if you want to cook something cheesy rather than grill burgers and hot dogs, we also have the Outdoor Pizza Oven. These can also be used to bake other entrees and desserts. With both, you can have a complete backyard cookout experience.
